Angry one hell of a virus? is my computer done with?

Hi there recently my hp has been showing symptoms of viruses
what happens is:
it cant system restore anymore no matter what date I pick
decrease in speed
and now whenever i try to log in to my admin or any account it either freezes completely including the mouse pointer, or it restarts

I have tried starting it in safe mode and downloading a virus remover but any program i download and try to start fails halfway through (which i think is from this nasty virus)

If anyone could help me out i would greatly appreciate it

Hi! Long time no see!

If your own antivirus can't sort it out? Pop the Windows cd in the drive and make a repair installation. That wont remove anything but Windows + eventual service packs that are'nt integrated + the Windows updates. But everything else are intact.

Hello, this should work out..

get yourself a usb hdd.. go on another pc that is working right. Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ( http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php ) save it to the usb hdd, i don't know what antivirus you have but download avast! ( http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html ) and save it to the usb hdd.. then go to your pc, go into safe mode, load up the usb hdd, install the programs run malware then avast! that should fix the problem, if not let us know..

Re: one hell of a virus? is my computer done with?

Avast is not a good anti-virus in my opinion. I've tried their online scanner several times and it is really bad at detecting viruses. You'll be way better off with Sophos. (even though it's commercial, you can use it how many times you want including updates if you register at their homepage one time each month. I'm doing it myself)

I keep on using their online scanner once every month just to see if it finds anything. After all, it is an anti-virus which works and sometimes it's able to find stuff.

Read all my opinions about these programs here.
