Hey Goranpa..Another Upgrade !
So with the prices of the "new" TR Evga GTX 280's falling, I took the plunge and purchased the 3rd 280, so I'm now in Tri Sli on my new Evga Classified Board....its total craziness....
Check out my Sig below for complete specs, including latest Vantage run......with the tril Sli and the fact that its +30c outside right now, I now have the side panel off of my Case with a house Fan blowing in .....!
My last "upgrade" will be a new Solid State Drive, likely OCZ 64 GB for my OS / boot

He, he, he!
Well, now I cant think of ANY game your rig will have problems with playing on highest resoloution and settings.
Congrats!
But having the side panel off and a table fan blowing into the rig will mess upp the case airflow and the air pressure will go seriously down. That will make the case fans job very tuff. Plus, that you will let tons of dust into the case.

Naah, not really. People do slip when spelling from time to another. I do that now and then myself.

Re: Hey Goranpa..Another Upgrade !
The side panel being off and a "house fan" blowing in is just a temporary thing.....this past week we have had +30c weather and my Office is upstairs in my house...likely about the same Temp in this room....
Once the heat settles down in another couple of months I'll be able to close her up!!
Yes, the performance is incredible to say the least.
Ran the FC2 Benchmark, all Ultra Settings / 1920 x 1200:
1. No AA - Avg FPS 130
2. 8x AA - Avg FPS 103
The only complaint is I recieved a free download of Cryostasis and it literally runs like crap...very poor framerates, very choppy..terrible really!
The rest of my games are fine. Although, I know I'm pushing this HX 1kW to the limits I believe!
You take Goranpa..hope you're having a good summer in the Land of the Midnight Sun!!
To the fellow that takes "offense" to my spelling ....."I'm sure you'll get over it".....can't believe you took the time to make that Post!!

Re: Hey Goranpa..Another Upgrade !
O.k If one have 30C+ you will have to take some of the more extreme measures to cool the hardware down.
Lol ! As you get 103 fps average at that settings in FC 2. I think you can feel you have a "pretty" good rig.
I still dont think you have to worrie abut the pau you have.
Tri SLI GTX 280's are minimum psu requirements of 650W and 48 A on the +12V.
And I can't belive the rest of your hardware will draw that much power that the 1000W Corsair psu will be choking.
The Corsair 1Kw are 2 x +12V rails at 40A each btw. That will be more than sufficient.
Have a very nice summer you too !

Re: Hey Goranpa..Another Upgrade !
Well I know the power consumption is close to Max, here's what I've figured:
3 x GTX 280's OC'd approx. 240W each x 3 = approx. 710W
I7 OC'd to 3.8 Ghz approx. 210W
Thats 920W right thier..when under full load though.
2 x HDD's
2x Opticals
7x 120mm Fans
2x 50mm Fans
Think i'm pushing it a tad, seems ok so far, but we'll see.....if I go WC then for sure a 1.2kW..hahaha
Take care!
PS..Canucks re-signed the Sedin Twins, theres hope for us yet...cheers Goranpaa
