dual boot

I have two computers and decided to put two hard drives in one computer. I hooked up the power to both and ribben cable. One is the slave and one is the master. But when I turn the power on only on boots up. What do I need to do to choose which hard drive I want to use? When I go to My computer the two hard drives show up but there is not option that shows up to choos between the two. I must be doing something wrong--what it it? Need some advice.

Thanks

Re: dual boot

What are you trying to do?

If you are interested in choosing which one of them to boot from, then you should be able to fix this with boot priority within your BIOS settings. As you probably know, only a harddrive with a installed operating system are able to boot up anything.

One other thing, do you know if you are using S-ATA drives or the older standard: P-ATA?

-----------------------------
Debian Lenny (Linux kernel 2.6.26)
Chieftec fulltower
QDI PlatiniX, P4 @ 2.8
CPU cooler: Arctic Cooling 92mm
2x512MB 400mhz DDR Kingston
320GB 7200RPM S-ATA WD
500GB 7200RPM S-ATA WD
80GB 7200RPM EIDE WD
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy ZS2
Gainward Bliss 7800GS 256MB GDDR3
650w CorsairTX
