Hp laptop AC Power Adapter

I bought Hp laptop
Intel motherboard
dv4-1214tx entertainment pc
A few days ago, my laptop AC power adapter is not working. Is there any one who give me an idea of troubleshooting mechanisms or else which specification of AC power adapter substitutes the old one?

Have you tried to send a e-mail to HP and ask them? Other than that, you always have E-bay.
