Which laptop is longest lasting?

Hell all, its been forever since i last was on here. But i need your help and opinion. This isn't a stupid question like the last ones i posted on here. This one pertains to knowledge this site offers. I am thinking of choosing a new laptop between the Dell Latitude E6500 notebook, Precision notebook, Toshiba laptop, or an hp notebook, or a sager. My current one, the dell xps, m1210 is suffering form a faulty dc port on the motherboard and most of the time fails to recognize the ac adaptor as a dell one and will only power the computer and not charge the battery. Let me know what you recommend, or if you know of a better notebook i havent mentioned. Im open to all opinions and comments. Thanks.

Im not sure about that particular model, but I had a Dell Latitude D600 laptop, I started having battery problems after 2 years, where it wasn't as good as it once was, after four years I could not use it without the A/C adapter, at that point I just scraped it for parts.
