Laptop Recommendations

Hi

I am looking for a new laptop as my current laptop is dieing.

I will only really be using it for e-mails internet and watching dvds.

I have a budget of £500 or around that price mark.

I would like it to have Windows 7 Home Premuim preinstalled on it.

Edit - Just so people know I live in the UK

Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

Cheers,

Re: Laptop Recommendations

To be able to give you a good reply, tell us how the computer are going to be used (gaming laptop, multimedia laptop, only using office etc etc..).

Meanwhile you have laptops at the famous newegg.com, look here and by using finansportalen.se I was able to see that 500 pounds is 783.56 USD right now.

(I now see that you already mentioned how the computer is going to be used, but I recommend that you think one more time about it and that you check out the newegg link as well.)

Re: Laptop Recommendations

I'd also recommend going with 'corporate model' laptop. They might not have a ton of fancy features but they generally have excellent warranty.

HP EliteBooks are a good start, most have 3yr warranty, at least in the US. I'm not sure if the warranty changes across the pond.
