Drive Letter Assignments

My sister is trying to re-assign the letters to her two CD drives - one is a DVD and the other is a CD-RW drive. She had originally installed them as E: for DVD and F: for CD-RW. But somehow it got changed after she reformatted and repartioned her drives. (They got switched around.)

Is there any way to restore her CD drive letter assignments?

If Win2k or Win XPyou can reassign by:

Right Clicking on my computer > Manage > Disk Management > Right CLick on the CD drive whose letter you want to change > reassign drive letter....

The Computer Management tool is awesumb

If its windows 98...
Control Pannel> System> Device Manager> CDROM> Choose the CDROM you wish to change the letter of> Properties> Settings

Change the start and end drive letters to the desired letter for the drive. If the one you wish to use is currently in use by the other cdrom, and vice versa, then change them both to alternate temporairy letters, then change them to the desired letters.

This does not work with non-removeable hardrives.
