1.) Insert the Windows 2000 CD
2.) Click Install Add-On Components
3.) Install the Internet Information Services
Note: The Internet Information Services include the FrontPage Server Extensions. These enable you to test out FrontPage Components on your local computer, or provide them to others on your local network.
OR
1.) Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel
2.) Choose Add/Remove Programs
3.) Choose Add/Remove Windows Components from the left menu
4.) Choose Internet Information Services and click on the Details button
5.) Put a checkmark on the items listed in the screenshot below
Click OK and you'll know what to do from there ...
After you install the PWS, the program is automatically running in the background. To access the server, launch your browser and go to
http://127.0.0.1 - this will be your local home page.
