MUTV video streaming problem.

I have a pc running windows XP. There are 3 users on the system and I am administrator. My irritating problem is ; I subscribe to MUTV online and when I try to watch the video nothing happens, I have tried changing various settings in Internet settings, Advent browser, Norton Firewall and Windows media player although MUTV sets it own player when the license is delivered.
The other two users on the PC don't have a problem, so it is something I have missed. Any ideas any one.

Re: MUTV video streaming problem.

Is your Windows XP installation completely up to date? And what browser are you using? If you are using IE 6 then it's NOT the latest browser from Microsoft and you should download IE 7 from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/

I would also suggest installing Firefox 2 as your default browser from www.mozilla.com

If you've read many of the threads on OTS you also know that the majority of us know Norton SUCKS!!! I would suggest going to www.avast.com and downloading the free version of Avast! for an antivirus or installing AVG Free from http://www.free.grisoft.com You can get a fairly decent firewall from www.ghostsecurity.com It may even be your security software that is causing problems. Norton sometimes prevents stuff from working without asking about it and uses too many resources on PCs anyway. It will sometimes even be inconsistent - allowing something to work for 1 user but not another.
