Recording from a television...

Hi all.

I need to get some screenshots from a video game on Playstation and I'm having bad luck at tryin to capture some images from the television using a digital camera. For one thing, the quality of the image is bad and rough and that black border thing keeps going down the screen, which if I'm not mistaken, is because the television shows frames faster than what a camera can capture. Or something like that.

I seen other people record things from the television beautifully. I think there is a method where you attach a cable from the camera to the television and then record it.

But I don't know if this is true and, if it is true, how to actually do this and what cable I need.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Recording from a television...

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you can take the A/V cables from your system and plug them into a video camera/recorder, then the recorder will record what the playstation is playing.

If not that, then I know for sure that there's A/V out ports on the back of most TVs. You can get a 2nd set of A/V cables to plug into there and then plug the other end into... something.

Again, I'm not too sure if this is entirely correct, I just know that there are ways and they most likely involve one of these two things.
