Remote networking Macs
I want to network home and work computers - all Mac's running Leopard 10.5.4. I installed Vine Server and Viewer but still can't connect. Here's what I know:
I receive a connection timeout message almost instantly when I try to connect. Vine uses port 5900 by default.
I am on Comcast internet service at both locations with Comcast supplied modems and Belkin wireless routers.
I have the correct external IP address for my computer.
I am an experienced Mac user, but networking is a whole new beast. It's ticking me off that I can't figure out how to do this. It could be something really simple I am overlooking, so don't assume I know what I am doing!
