Transfering files........

I just ordered my new Alienware machine about 10 days ago and I was just wondering by the time it rolls in at the end of this month, I just want to be able to transfer my steam files, such as my favorites and friends from my old machine to my new one. How would I actually do this? And if you guys didn't mind, since the forthcoming statement has nothing to do with steam and CS in general, how would I actually transfer my videos, mp3's and browser favorites and links to my new machine also? One more thing, what type of file am I looking for that contains the friends and IP addresses of my fav servers for Steam, and when I am successful in transfering the files, which folder do I place them in? Thanks

Well, you could burn all of your files to a CD and put them on your new alienware cpu when it comes, or network your two computers and send the files from your old CPU to the new Alienware one.

Well to be more specific, does anybody here have counterstrike or steam for that matter, and know in which folder my friends list and favorite server info is contained in?
