TF2 Internet Issues

When I try to play Team Fortress 2, one of two things happens. Either every server gives me a "server not responding" message when I try to connect, and I have to wait a few minutes before it magically starts letting me connect, or my wireless connection breaks and if I try to repair it it says "Connection failed!". I'm not sure what's going on, anyone have any ideas?
