What do you think of Blizzard's new console game, Starcraft: Ghost?
Now that Blizzard has pulled the cat out of the bag, avid Blizzard gamers have either been cuddling it or flogging it with a lead pipe... It's Starcraft: Ghost, a tactical shooter game for the console.
Here is Blizzard's official press relase, and here is IGN's exclusive article about it...
With the aftermath of Blizzard's radical detour to the console arena, numerous opinions are being voiced out about the decision to release a console game instead of a heavily-requested sequel to the Starcraft/Brood War games.
What's yours?

I find it hilarious the uproar this game has caused. I find it especially funny because of people whining that it'll be on console.
It's a console game. If you don't own a console, you probably don't like most console games. If you don't like most console games, you most likely won't enjoy Ghost.

I voted other since I do not own or plan to own a console.
I am sure it will be a neat game. BUT they had better get ALL the bugs out of it before it is released, as I am not aware of any way to patch a console game, should a showstopper bug be found. correct me if I am wrong on this.

meh..
blizzard should stay with computers. That way the whole patching deal will be there so you can upgrade. They should have just made it a real starcraft, rts not fps. Fps's are not that great to me. I guess since its on a comsole it cant be a rts really. man I was really looking forward to a starcraft game then they make some lame fps. blizzard can do better then that.
Maybe if it is successful, they might release it on the computer, and if that ever happens I might buy it. It all depends on how much.

I voted for other.
I don't have a console but my brother is gonna buy a GC soon so maybe I'll just "convince" him to buy that game too when it's done
Maybe I'll even buy it myself if it's good enough, the chances of that happening aren't real high though.

Other here too, I plan on buying a PS2 soon, if they release it on that, then I'll probably buy it.
edit: T'k and Turks, Blizzard isn't actually the one making it, so I wouldn't worry about bugs. Nihilistic released Vampire with very few, and they only released one patch for the game (multiplay bugs I believe..which was pointless to patch because multiplay sucked ass) anyway, my point is, Nihilistic is better at getting rid of the bugs than Blizzard, so that shouldn't be a problem.

Also, it's on the console. This eliminates a lot of issues involving having to code for different hardware and software configurations. Everyone has the same sheeite.
I voted other because I simply do not care one way or the other. I will probably be getting a Gamecube in late 2002 or early 2003, but I doubt I'll but this game when the time comes. Just don't appeal to me.

Other.
I'm not planning on getting a console.
It would have been awesome as a PC game.
My thought is that Blizzard will only layout the ideas, missions and flow of the game. That other company will do the actual coding and testing.
So, it's a Blizzard idea implemented by another company.

I especially love the fools who are denouncing SCG for being an FPS. When it is most definitely NOT an FPS.

I voted for "Yes, I am definately getting it" or whatever. Personally, I think it's a great jump for Blizzard and I anticipate that I will be playing countless hours of the Starcraft: Ghost game. =)

The price's off the consoles will drop down substantially when the game finally comes out. But I'm have to wait and see for myself whether the game lives up to the hype. Right now, I don't see anything that really stands out to me.

I will most likely buy SCGhost, when it comes out. I already have a PS2 so I do not have to go out and get a system. Blizzard makes nothing but great games with a great story line, and I am expecting SCGhost to be no different.

I cannot believe that people are angry about this and are like piketing and getting lawyers together. People are dumb.
Im interested in the game, but Im gonna wait for reviews.
And yeah nova, its amazing how people just breath through a press release or article about it and assume so much. I was talking with some people about it on another forum, and it took me nearly 5 posts to convence them it was a 3rd person shooter.
