What did you think of Terminator 3?
I'm sure some of you here have already watched the much hyoped and awaited Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines which opened in theaters last week, July 2. What did you think of it? Was it a fitting end to the trilogy? Or just another ho-hum installment to the Terminator series? Vote away

My reactions were mixed on this movie ... but while I think that Terminator 2 still had the best action scenes and special effects among all the Terminator movies, Terminator 3 has undoubtedly the best ending among them ... it wasn't as predictable as the other Terminator endings, and it was a very satisfying closure to the Terminator trilogy, in my opinion.

Althought T3 was good, it wasn't as good as T1 or T2. A lot of people says it sucked, for whatever reason, but it just isn't true imo. I think they left the ending too open, it didn't feel much like an ending at all. Some of humor in there was pretty good (Arnold gives new meaning to "talk to the hand" and those star glasses are just hilarious). Some parts just didn't make sense.
SPOILER: (highlight to read)
When Arnold and John Connor were escaping from the cemetary, how did John Connor survive in the coffine anyways? I highly doubt they were built so thick that bullets cant penetrate them. Also, the explosion of one of the police cars were badly done. During the scene where Arnold and T-x we're being crushed under the opening, how did Arnold manage to stick the hydrogen fuel cell into the T-x's mouth anyways(the only possibility I can think of is some sort of the energy from these hydrogen cells are temporarily stored somewhere else)?

I'm sick of every hollywood movie having comedy. Have you ever noticed that. If I go to an action movie that's all I want action, If I go to a horror movie I WANT HORROR. Why does hollywood have to be so predictable. I didn't think this was anywhere near the quality of the other two Terminator movies. Also I have a few questions. How did they land that little bi plane out in the desert mountains? Also wasn't it kind of handy to have a password manual at the mountain facility. And why didn't the new terminator control the vehicle john connor was driving?

To answer some of teh questions. Don't know if it needs a spoiler tag but I'll use it anyways.
SPOILER: (highlight to read)
The password was in the red folder that was locked in the cabinet of Brewster's office. She couldn't have controlled that vehicle without using the finger/needle thing. But makes you wonder how she controlled that all the police cars and fire trucks(I'm guessing it's because they're all 'networked' through the computers in the cars and what not)? There was a sort of run way from what I can see. Crystal Peak is basically a bomb shelter for the President and it's in the middle of nowhere, so the only way to get there is by plane. And if there was no runway, not even the President could get there.

I liked it. I went into the theatre with low expectations and was surprised to find a decent and well written movie. I especially liked the ending.
I hope they make another movie, they can do almost anything they want, except more time travel. I just hope they don't try and tie it into the matrix.

I saw it this weekend, and would have to say that I too liked it.
While I think the 2nd one is still the best, I really did like the ending, and the whole explanation of what Skynet really was in the closing monologue was cool.
I really don't see them doing another one, unless it's like Spider said and takes place in the future.

The next T movie would probably be unlike the previous 3, since Judgement Day has already happened. T4 would either be a filler in between the future timeline of the Terminator and the end of T3 or, have T4 placed at that timeline and end the story there (Arnold's part in this one wouldn't be very big).
