What do you look for MOST in your next game?
Poll idea submitted by: -EG-raynor
The time of week is upon us - a new poll beckons!
So, when you make your next game purchase, what do you specifically look for most? I know not all of us are suckers for creatively-designed game boxes, and most of us have a particular quality that we hunt for when we buy games.
So which is it? Let your opinions explode in expressive glee!

AI definitely. I like challenges. Im not talking about giving the computer cheating abilities either. For instance, in a RTS, sometimes they have difficulty settings. All this does is give the enemies stronger units, more money, faster build times. Thats no replacement for a smart opponent. I think its funny that even when I play RTS games on the hardest settings, I can still build up a massive force off in a corner, and the enemies let me get away with that.

I went with story ... everytime I buy a game I look for something that has a potentially good storyline (which is why I buy a lot of RPGs and Adventure games) ... I often treat playing like reading a book or watching a movie - it has to hold my interest, and it has to have an artistic and engaging storyline ...
I loved Blizzard's games because of it ... as well as the Baldur's Gate series

the FF line has great stories. I liked the diablo story too, especially in d2, changing between acts is always pretty cool.
Im more into strategy games. At one point in my young life, my aim was to be like patton(not the jerk part, but the great general who leads his men into battle). Who knows could still happen

well, since you can pick only one, gameplay.
i once picked up a cheapy game on the recommendation of a gaming mag review. i couldnt stand it. i never got past the tutorial, the interface, controls, and graphics were so bad. at least it was a cheap coaster.
actually, when i read reviews, i do pay attention to the gameplay type stuff a lot. most of mine are tbs or rpg, so gameplay matters a lot.
oh, anyone into anime may want to pick up septerra core, its got a cool combat system and is in the bargain racks at babbages

Hey look someone else is online now
the game that I belevie to have the worse user interface, game play... and everything else is TA... the whole TA line just plain sucks. If I were to make a RTS better, I would do opposite of what TA is

For me it would be both gameplay and replayability. Leaning more towards replay value. I hate playing through a game and not wanting to play it again.

I choose replayability. Laggy, you should have had game play length.
I love nothing more then spending $70 on a game and having it all done in 12 hours. ARGH
Game play is also important..but then if it isn't fun, then there goes replayability.

I want more replayability, that's the reason I like D2 so much, you're never done improving your char.

Replayability, definately.
D2 LOD not only are you never done building your character, there's always more cool items to find and try out in different combinations, there's always different skill paths to try, and there's always 7 different character classes to choose from.. plus the shifting level layout.. I'm not sure I will ever get tired of it.

Yeah what he said. A nice story is an excellent touch to that though. It's no accident the Diablo series is among the top sellers of all time.
The one place they screwed up in D2 though was removing its simplicity. Now it's bogged down with useless skills and frustrating unbalanced gameplay.

I would like a better story because most of them are dull. So i would say that would make a game good
