What do you think of Dungeon Siege?
Dungeon Siege is now available for sale at stores around the United States (and probably the rest of the world). Chances are, you may have already bought it and already playing it (which won't make sense if you're reading this, coz you should be playing the game!)
Anyway, with the release of the much-hyped game, one question arises - was it worth the hype? Was it everything you have ever hoped for and more?
Give us your opinions.

Im holding my vote til I find a solution to my 20 fps problem.
The graphics are all right, but they dont look like they did on the screenshots.
Gameplay is good though. Which is what counts.

It rocks. Simple as that.
And I don't know what you're talking about Skyhn, the graphics are awesome and look exactly like they did in the screenshots.

What OS are you running it in Skyn? Did you try setting it in high priority?

Yeah, Im running it High Priority. WinME.
The game is really good, Ive started playing it more.
I think I have narrowed it down to my ram. I noticed it was really working the hard drive, probably getting at the virtual mem. Im gonna upgrade my ram to 1.0gb by the end of the month, so hopefully that will fix it.

I don't think it's your ram, my old P3-450 that has only 256 mb ram can almost run this game normal.
256 should be enough and if you have 512 then it's a waste of money to buy more.

Well what could it be then? I did read now somewhere that the game mostly uses software rendering.

Software Rendering?
As I do believe Nova pointed out in an earlier thread.......................no.
Even the fastest system couldn't run the game smoothly if it were depending solely on software rendering.
Secondly, the games *requires* a 3D capable video card. The whole point of software rendering is to render 3D graphics without a 3D capable video card.
Thirdly, there are times when my frame rate drops. But usually, it hovers at around 30 fps, which is perfectly fine.
Also, it's not going to be your system RAM that is an issue. Video memory, yes, but not system memory. How much video memory is on your card?
