New Umbra Layout Is Online!

New Umbra Layout Is Online!

Well, as you can see, the new layout is now active ... it was planned to be activated on New Year's Eve, but hey, better late than never

(Those who don't see it may need to log off first, then log back on.)

You may encounter some cosmetic glitches and some pages may not work yet, as I do some cleanup The Gallery, Downloads, Reviews and Seti Team links are currently being finalized so they may not work properly yet.

Also, check out our new Marketplace! Do some comparison shopping on your favorite computer components online!

For those who miss the old layout, you can still use that as your own by accessing the UserCP and changing the style back to Classic (only for registered members).

If you encounter any glitches or graphic anomalies, give us a holler at the Feedback forum!

No offence, but the new layout is a tad bit ugly.

Just my opinion though.

However, the option to change it back was quite usefull

I was browsing the forums when I got sidetracked and ran off to another site. When I came back and reloaded the forums the new look took me by surprise.

I think it looks great, Laggy. I especially like the menu bars on both sides. They are simple, but they make for quick and easy access to the various resources on the site.

The overall layout looks techno-futuristic. I like it. Definitely a different feel from the old layout.

Once again, great job, Laggy. I've already encountered some "hidden" features I think I'll enjoy/find useful quite a bit.

I kinda knew it's gonna be a matter of taste, which is why I left the option to go back to the old one ... personally, I like this new one much better and it's easier on the eyes and looks more slick

Coming soon - the light-background version of this one...

sorry guys, but while i can see the style in this new design, I can't say I like it. it may grow on me (cheered on by the fact that this is such a cool site anyway) but I won't fully like it.

Oh, and what is this I see??? Advertising????

*AngstMerchant sighs heavily.*

Thanks for that refresher course on the nature of fact and opinion. I should talk to some folks at MIT and see if they can whip up a sarcasm detector. You need one.

I'm not in the mood to aesthetically deconstruct the site but my heart says bonus. But that's just my opinion. . .
