Sometime this morning, some of you may have found our front page seemingly "defaced" and replaced with a message from some silly brazilian folks. This was due to an exploit in CPANEL 5x ... something that I have procrastinated in updating to CPANEL 6 for a few weeks now. Oh, the joys of root access
*sarcastic sigh* My bad...
Which teaches us a valuable lesson ... don't put for later what would likely screw you up tomorrow
So those of you who are running your own servers and are using CPANEL/WHM, update to version 6 ... now! Even if you're not using the guestbook feature, update it!
On the lighter side of things, the ones who did exploit were gentlemen enough to not do any other kinky things on the server ...
