This is to inform our registered members that our
Rants & Raves Forum (our little area where members discuss controversial and no-holds barred topics and debates) is now converted into a
"permission only" forum. This means that those who want to view the topics and participate in the forum should ask permission in order to gain access.
This was done due to a several of our members who seemingly
misinterpret Open Tech Support's purpose and goals by judging the site based on the topics discussed in the R&R Forum (those who judge the site based on the actions of a select few). This is, obviously, a flawed way of looking at OTS and this is our way of properly separating an irrelevant forum from the site's goal, which is (surprise!) technical support.
Those who wish to gain access to our Rants & Raves Forum should use our
contact form and tell us that they want to participate in that forum. Make sure to read the
rules and regulations before you ask for permission.
We hope this will improve the focus of the site and separate the people who only wish to engage in off-topic debates from those who want technical support and talk about technology.
