[OTS Article] State of the Game Industry for 9/12/03

Our resident hermit Jack G has once again posted another great write-up on the current state of the gaming industry ... entitled, uhm, State of the Game Indu--- never mind... You know what it is

Anyway, he discusses in great detail the controversy behind Valve and their upcoming blockbuster, Half-Life 2. With ATI seemingly coming out smelling like a rose in recent Half-Life 2 presentations, nVidia seems to be in a pickle... but is it really their problem? Here is an excerpt of what Jack thinks:

The news is ominous for two parties: Nvidia, and Valve. Nvidia's problems are obvious: If their cards suck on what is arguably going to be the biggest hit of 2003, it looks really bad for them. They've botched things so badly in their market that this might give ATI a significant lead. However, I find it unlikely that this is entirely Nvidia's problem. In fact, I think it is mostly Valve's problem.

Oooo, the plot thickens! So what're ya waiting for ... head on over to the State of the Game Industry and read what Jack has to say...
