Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
It's been a long time since the "big one", eh folks?
Well, lemme just inform our members and guests that OTS.Net will be going through another major site update in the next couple of weeks all the way to next month. Lotsa things need to be upgraded, fixed or added. And I finally found the time to start working on all of those.
So if you have any suggestions on what the new upgraded site should have, lemme know by replying and I'll give it some serious thought

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
For the love of all that is holy and un, either get rid of the word of the day thread or make a meme subforum for that kind of garbage.
Actually that might not be a bad idea, huh, and here all I had planned was griping and swinging my cane around.
Shocking.
edit: so long as classic is still an available theme.
Open Tech Jupport for pancakes and the win.
good coloring + nostalgic (and functionally elite) layout = sweet like cocaine cubes.

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
Get rid of the downloads button, unless there are plans to have dowloads.

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
Perhaps you could add RSS, I use that a lot with other forums. Works great in Firefox.
Also, make it so that you don't have to click the back button twice to go to the serch results after posting a reply.
And let us have bigger avitars too.
Thanks.

Perhaps we could use the downloads section for posting links to commonly refrenced software like Everest, Sandra, ClockGen, and MotherboardMonitor. Then when we tell someone to get the software, we can just say go over to the downloads section.

At least rename the "Dummy Tools" side menu to "HAY SHADY USE THIS". Maybe put the dictionary.com in bright red font with blinking text.

Yep, I think that is a better idea than mine. Go for it.
Also, stop picking on Shady.

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
We all make mistakes. Shady just makes a few more than most.
Anyway, this is a great site even if it isn't revamped. I am sure some improvements would be great.

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
....Wow I'm so famous. =] Everyone is always talking about me and my great typing skills.I agree with the automatic spell checker , that would be awesome.Well I have a few suggestions for the download section i can add a nero 7 ultra trial and if your a member with over 200 posts you can acquire the cd-key.So that people cant just join and get free stuff I can also add limewire pro and other stuff. Also get rid of that 60 second and 15 second rule , it pisses me off.I will be typing and submit then someone will reply and I have to wait a goo 1 minute of my life waiting to write another post. Also i tried the normal spell checker and it sucks it doesn't catch words like "nd" and trys to change my word "gpu" , you should change the spell checker's data base and add words like gpu and psu and stuff like that.
See I stoped typing like that , and that was a very good impression except you spelled I'll , stop , picking , on , and this correct.

Rejected
This site has never condoned piracy, especially in public domain. Any attempt to provide commercial software for free, for any condition, is not something I'd like to do... ever
As for the other suggestions, I'm sorting through all of those. So keep those suggestions coming

p.s. no flaming in my thread please

Re: Open Tech Support scheduled for another MAJOR overhaul!
Your first suggestion for the downloads section would be illegal unless the key was geniune & bought for this purpose as a prize.
Your typing was much better on this post. I don't always use the provided spell checker, but it seems OK. although there are some things that aren't picked up.
