OTS Scheduled Downtime on May 2 (Friday)

This is to let our members and visitors know that the Open Tech Support site will have a scheduled downtime this Friday, May 2, 2008.

The site's forum script will be upgraded to the newest vBulletin 3.7 version, which was just released today. The reason I'm not proceeding with an immediate upgrade tomorrow is because I wanna check the script for any possible bugs first (my experience with vBulletin is that they often release a bug fix version 2-3 days after releasing a major version update).

The new vBulletin version will add a shitload of new features that members can play with, as well as some cosmetic changes that will improve usability and overall functionality. Those who have visited sites using the 3.7 version of the script would know what I'm talking about.

In any case, the downtime will probably last just a couple of hours if the upgrade proceeds smoothly... otherwise, it might take a good part of the day. So keep your fingers crossed
