Reinstalling SPTD error-free

;this is applicable to those having an error in intalling the SPTD;

!Failed to Open Config Key!

[1] start in safe-mode

[2] run any registry editors that would allow you to delete some key files in your registry.

in my case i used the IceSword ver1.18en {you cannot use regedit, since it would not allow you to delete the (some/all)specified keys below}

[3] browse and delete the following keys::: the {...\Eventlog...} can be ommited

"before you delete something make sure that it is the right key"

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SPTD

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\Eventlog\System\sptd

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\sptd

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_SPTD

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Eventlog\System\sptd

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\sptd

[4] restart your computer, then you can now install it without those errors
