Drive Letter Wackiness

Ok, back in January I bought a new hard drive and installed Windows XP Pro on it. It is a Maxtor 40GB and the Slave to that drive is a Seagate 40GB. When I installed XP, it automatically assigned the Seagate the C: drive and my Maxtor Drive D: I installed an everything went fine. I also have a third hard drive installed with a Controller Card. I tried changing the Maxtor Drive ( The drive with Windows on it to C) and the C to something else, but it wouldnt let me cuz of the boot record. Right now, I relettered the drives and my main drive is F: Anyway, my question is, is there an easy way to change my F: Drive back to C:?

I hope that made sense, if not let me know.

My Three Drives are listed as Follows:

C: Drive = Music Drive
D: Drive = The Beast
F: Drive = Windows Drive

HOW TO: Change the System/Boot Drive Letter in Windows

This is Microsoft's answer for how to do this in Windows 2000. i could not find anything that was just for XP. my guess is though, that it should be very similar if not exactly the same as 2000.

oh, and by the way...........Edit your Registry at your own Risk. That seems to be the only way to do it.

Well, I did what it said and I reassigned drive letters, and I rebooted. It got to the windows logon screen, but it didnt show any of the login names, it just had windows professional. I didnt wanna load, dont know why, probably cuz I was impatient and it wouldnt load fast enough, so I just reformat and I have all the letters assigned properly C-E for my Hard Drives. Thanks for the help though.
