Uhhh yea... this thing just wont go away... (>.<)

Im having a problem with a slight virus, something or whatever it is, i want to know how to unauthorize something again with Norton Anti Virus, is there any possible way to do that? btw the thing that i have thats causing trouble for me is, it wont let me have my own homepage at what i want it to be. i try making it Yahoo, but then it will just make the site Search-dot.com, then it will rename the site in my adress bar www.yahoo.com so it makes it impossible for me to use Yahoo as a search engine anymore, and harder to access my email.. Norton says that the problem is being caused in my C:Windows/Fonts directory, but then it says the file is C:/windows/fonts/font and that is hidden and im not familiar with XP that much, so i also dont know how to make hidden files visible yet.. but at first, i wanted to see what the file that norton was stopping was, i had no idea that it was this one that was bothering me earlier since i was rid of it for a little bit, so i let it run its course for a few seconds, and seen that it did nothing.. so then i felt like browsing the web and low and behold... look what came back to haunt me.. i would REALLY apprieciate any help, or if someone could just send me their font folder, then i could delete mine.. that might solve the problem... i have no clue what to do...

Download and install Spybot Search and Destroy. It sounds like you have a browser hijacker installed. Once you get Spybot installed, update it, then run it and remove anything that it finds.

btw, to see hidden files, open a folder and go to Tools::Folder options, click the view tab and switch the circle buttons (radio buttons) under hidden files and folders to show hidden files and folders. You should be able to see all your hidden files. DLLs and other system files will remain hidden until you uncheck "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)."
