Re: Huh???

Maybe the best way is to uninstall IE and run a registry cleaner afterwards. Then, install a new copy of IE.

I also think it could be a good idea to run a couple of on line virus scanners like Bitdefender on line and Eset NoD 32 to make sure that the trojan and eventual other bad stuff really are gone before you reinstall IE.

Re: Huh???

I think it's just a remnant of the malware that's still in the computer. I would suggest running a free virus scan from House Call by Trend Micro. It's free and it's very good. Before going to that trouble though, I'd try two free programs, Malwarbytes' Anti-Malware and Spybot Search and Destroy. I find Malwarebytes' to be really effective at finding malware.

Re: Huh???

Definitely do a registry cleaner 'cause those kinda things generally are in the registry. Not all anti-spyware programs clean registry entries made by malware.

Yer problem made me think of the good ol' dialers. Don't see those too more with highspeed internet and all. :-P
