I’m just posting this message for those of you who are not aware of WindowsBBS. It is a wonderful free resource for repairing any and all sorts of problems with Windows Operating Systems, problems caused by malware that seem unsolvable, virus damage, etc. In my case the problem was something has been shutting off my security services every few weeks or so. If I don’t notice the icons missing from my systray I can be unprotected for an undeterminable period of time.
The people at WindowsBBS are a bunch of computer scientists who really know their stuff and by posting your problem on their website (You have to register as a member first but it’s free) they will over a day or two, or maybe three, because they are all volunteering their time for nothing, try to remedy your problems.
