Remote Desktop to server

So I have a server that I built out of an old Dell, running Windows Server 2003. I also have my main rig (the one in sig) running Vista Home Premium. I set up Remote Desktop on both rigs and it works fine, except for this one problem.

The server is setup to start and run as Administrator running a couple of small programs automatically. But when I Remote Desktop connect into this server, I log into the Administrator account and it logs onto like a 2nd version of it, not the one that's running. I know it's a 2nd one because it complains about a couple of ports already being in use (because of the programs running on the other one). I also know they programs are running (even though Remote Desktop shows them trying to load again) because I can see them on the internet still (they are internet gaming bots).

So I guess long way of saying, anyone know how to make it so that I log into the CURRENT version of a user account instead of a NEW version of it?

Re: Remote Desktop to server

Their is not a way to do it as I know of. But you can goto administrative tools, to the terminal server connections and take control of that session if it is still active. Another option is to switch to vnc, install it as a service, it uses only one session at a time so this will not happen.
