Hp dv4-1214tx

Hi all

I bought Hp dv4-1214tx pavilion laptop 6 months ago but now my laptop is infected by virus. Therefore, I need to restore to factory setting by using F11 but while I pressed F11, nothing appeared on the screen. Is there anyone who wants to give me the procedures to get access to F11 is highly appreciated. My laptop is originally installed Vista Home basic and in D partition there is a file name extension of ".GHO".
Is there a method to recover from a file extension of GHO?

Please give me brief procedures!

Thank you!

Re: Hp dv4-1214tx

When are you pressing F11? You have to reboot the computer, and start tapping it when you see the HP logo. Tapping while you are inside of windows will not work.

Or if you goto start -> and type in Recovery, then select recovery manager, and follow the on screen prompts.
