Windows XP AHCI

Just a quick question, does anybody know how to deal with ahci for xp. Since I am dual booting between vista and XP, it's quite annoying having to switch between IDE and AHCI in bios all the time. Any solutions would be greatly appreciated. I have tried downloading the intel matrix drivers from my laptops manufacture but it says I do not meet the requirements. Not sure what is up. I have an Acer Timeline 4810TZ

Thanks
