I am having trouble opening an excel doc :See Screen shot:

this is what I get when I try to open it. how do I open it correctly?

What version of Excel are you running? Maybe you should install OpenOffice?

She is running Office 2007 now , the Original Program I am Uncertain. It was pretty old.

According to Microsoft Office 2007 - Wikipedia, there should be something called service pack 2 for this office suite. You can try to see if it solves the problem. I have never used Office 2007 so I can't really see what's the problem, only Office 2003 back in a few years ago.
