Since the forum script has been upgraded from vBulletin 2.3.0 to vBulletin 3.0.1, it is using a different script architecture, and the journal hack that worked with vB2 will not work with vB3 anymore, unless the author of that particular journal hack updates it to work with vB3 ... I have kept the old journal databases backed up, but with no script to link to them, they are dormant until a new journal hack comes out (and happens to work with the old journal database).
The forum script upgrade has also affected the Quizzes section, which was also a separate hack for vB2. The journal was not an integral part of the vBulletin forum system, so I accepted its temporary(?) loss in favor of upgrading to a better forum script version...
Is that a similar situatrion with the disappearance of 'comments?'
The old "comments" for vB2 was a third party hack/modification on the software... in vB3 it comes standard and is called User Notes ... you can see a link to it when you view a person's profile, it''s not very prominent yet (it's just below "Find all threads started by (User)"...
Unfortunately, the old Comments data is wiped because of the upgrade...

some people have made their own updates to the journal hack (coz the original creator went incognito), so expect the journal feature to be back after I've tested it for bugs...
