Why is this this just a forum

I was just wondering if it was possible to make like a chat channel here instead of just a forum. I mean im not sure this will work do u have any clue people?

incase you dont wanna click on the link, ill sum up both replys... we had one and noone used it... and if you wanna talk to the few who are into chat things try opentechsupport channel on bnet alot of us(mainly others) go there alot

As someone who's been helping out on this site for years, and who used to help out in the Battle.net OpenTechSupport channel, I can honestly say that this is a better format than a chat channel.

Reasons:
1. People who ask questions and people who can answer those questions aren't necessarily logged on at the same time. If this was a chat channel, there would be a good chance that many people's questions would never get answered.
2. With a forum, we have a chance to correct or delete bad information.
3. A forum gives a question-answerer time to research the correct answer and provide good links for the question-asker.
