Networking Forum

It would be nice to a networking forum under support. There are a lot of posts other places that fit right in a networking forum. Just a suggestion!

Re: Networking Forum

Actually, we did have a Networking forum a couple of years ago, but we removed it because most people who do have networking problems rarely ever post their questions there (some of them don't even know what counts as "networking", and those who "do" know usually don't post questions coz they know how to fix it). It ended up being a chore for the moderators to move topics from hardware/software into networking - up to the point where we move topics more often than actually answering them...

Because of this imaginary grey area, we decided to keeps things simple and jettison the networking forum. Networking questions can be software or hardware related, even internet related... we feel that this actually makes it easier for people to choose a place to post it in, rather than have to figure out if they're asking a networking question or not... besides, that's also where our Miscellaneous forum comes in

Thanks for the question, and the heads up!

Re: Networking Forum

That makes sense, I just saw a lot of questions having to do with new wireless routers and it seems that home networking zoomed in the last year. another idea would be to name the internet forum internet/network
