Microsoft unveils Windows Media 9

LOS ANGELES--Microsoft on Wednesday introduced its long-awaited digital media software, Windows Media 9, in an effort to establish dominance for its operating system in distributing high-quality digital content.

Yeah I got it last night. Just so I could watch the Halo 2 trailer. Loads and looks better than the previous version. I've never been that big of a fan of Media Player though.

My high-quality digital content plays just fine in my WMP 6.4.0.2 "Special Edition"

I got WMP 9 just now, I like it. Works great. I like it much better than 7. I use it fairly often. And now, amazingly, the video settings (contrast, hue, etc etc) in WMP work on my DivX files now, woot.

I've just downloaded it, and so far it's looking FANTASTIC!!! the only error I can report is that it crashes as soon as I try to listen to any net based content (such as the net radio, etc..) other than that, works fine - it even works with my media player tray icon )
