Can anyone tell me how to get my cd out of the drive!!
The drive doesn´t respond at all. Is there a way through windows ME to force it somehow to open!

And it doesn´t have the little hole in front!

Thank you!

OK - this is quite simple.

1. Get a paper clip....

2. Straighten it

3. The front of your CD-RW will have a small hole at the front under the drive door.

4. Insert the paperclip into the hole and push. This will open the door.

Sometimes the hole is located on the actual tray for the CD-ROM or just under it near the seam. Otherwise you might need to take it apart.

Before you go that route though, do you know the brand or manufacturer?

Sorry anordlin.

Can you tell us what model you have.

We got it figured out through PMs.

Just curious, but how was this problem resolved? Something similar is happening to a friends comp

Some CR-RW have to be removed from the computer then there is a hole under the top screw on the right as you look at the front. The same paper clip trick will work
