Well guys I got the the final design down for both my site's. All I need is my UBB.

Any feedback is apperiated. While I site here waiting for my wallet to grow. So I can buy the UBB. I might as well hear everyones likes and dislike of then.

Why dont you just use Ikonboard for now. I know there is a news hack for it on their forum and it has a hack to convert a ubb database to ikonboard so im sure there has gotta be one out there to do the reverse once you get ubb. If you don't think you will be getting ubb for a while you can at least try the ikonboard out.
Also doesn't ubb have a freebie trial version? Use that. Its not like you arnt gonna get ubb so it wouldn't piss em off to use it for a couple months or whatever. Hell it's for testing to see if your site can use it so test away 8) just do a blizzard caliber test for 2 or 3 months 8).
If your sites are done and the only thing holding you back is the forums use one of those man 8). (personaly i love ikonboard and it has saved me what 250 dollars) Its all cgi anyway use ikonboard and jack around with the code to make your own hacks and get fairly close to ubb.

As for the freeware....it is Illegel to hack it. Or even Modify it. But I did have it up at one time on another site.

isn't it illegal to download an mp3 and then not buy the CD? Isn't it illegal to view a movie you bought and watch it at your friends house and your house? Isn't it illegal to burn a CD? Isn't it illegal to let a friend borrow a game? Isn't it illegal to copy a game for someone and give it to them? Many things are illegal, but people still do them. I doubt hacking an Ikonboard is any different then any of those http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif Still illegal, so why not hack, if I'm sure you've done one of those. I'm not telling you that you should, just wondering.

Actually, he's talking about hacking the freeware version of UBB. Says so in their terms of agreement, which means if you download it, you agree to be bound by those terms...
...not that it would make much difference anyway... the freeware version pretty much sucks.
Ikonboard is the way to go if you want a free message board script with all the frills...
