I was watching some mighty fine cartoons just now, and Dexter's Lab came on. In tonights episode (An old one, I know) two of the Mt. Rushmore heads are brought to life and duke it out. It was hilarious! I thought it an appropriate episode for day filled with such national spirit as today. The people behind that show are geniuses!

Yeah, me too. Someone explain to me why Spongbob is so funny. It doesn't even begin to compare to Invader Zim, or any of the wonderfully comedic shows on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim"

All the stuff that Craig McCracken does is brlliant. But nothing compares to that pop culture tour de force that is The Powerpuff Girls. I have PPG dolls watching over my computer and a PPG T-shirt that i wear out with pride!!

My son loves Spongebob. He'll be 2 next month and its the only show he will actually sit all the way through.
I've sat through qute a few episodes so it has grown on me. Reminds me of the old Ren & Stimpy except without the fart jokes.

Though I did laugh my A$$ off at an episode I saw the other night. Spongebob and his Starfish buddy Patrick learned how to cuss (the cussing being replaced with dolphin noises). They were calling them "sentence enhancers". That was pretty funny.

SPONGE BOB IS THE SPAWN OF THE DEVIL AND IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DANCING BANANA. Help rid the television of him. Lower the rating do not watch it.
j/k watch it if you want but i still despise it no matter what it doesnt suit my tastes but my tastes are different then yours, so just ignore my loud outbreak. And no offense to all intended so sorry for the opinion.

Hehheh, no, you're thinking of "Squirtknob Squaredong".
But Laggy, you should give Spongebob a shot. The first time I saw it was in a little bar called the Three-1-Three. The plot lines are absurd and the dialogue is hysterical. If you need something to distract you from everyday routine drivel, SBSP will drag you off to an underwater sanitarium and flog you with non-sequential random hilariositude.

i caught that episode the other day too when my 2 kids were watching it...........the dolphin noises were GREAT!.......some of the things on that show are just soo CORNY......you can't help but laugh!

I liked the one Episode of the power puff girls where Bubbles took the likeness of Mojo jojo.
The endless ranting of "There can only be one mojo jojo!" was hilarious.
BTW, Toonami is getting kind of lame now because it seems like whenever they say "WE'RE GETTING ANOTHER HOUR!"
You say "OMG YES!!"
Then they say "OF DBZ!"
Then you say "OMG NO!!"
They should show something besides DBZ for two whole hours.. jesus...

DBZ is a piece of shit. They sit there glowing and yelling for half the show. then they shoot poorly drawn energy balls for 2 seconds, and yell some more. Then they do that thing where one frame, they're punching with one hand, and in the next frame they're punching, with the other with all sorts of lines and colors flying across he backround. Unimaginative crap. That's alll it is.

My favorite PPG episode was the one where they were bribing mojo jojo to do crimes so they could get candy from the mayor.
That had the absolute best PPG moment.
Girls:"You... don't have to look at us.... But... We brought your candy back!"
*Long pause*
Mayor:"You....you yelled at me..."

Heh.. I once heard a woman talking about DBZ... apparently she had to go in the living room to see what her son was actually watching, since to her it "sounded like a bunch of men straining at the toilet and yelling nonsense at each other!"

Don't diss DBZ. It was state of the art back in the 80's when they started in Japan. DragonBall devolved to shit after Dragon Ball GT..which was total stupidity.

I like DBZ, and I liked Dragonball. I actually watched DBZ today, as they have started the latest string of newly translated episodes this week.
And of course DBGT is crap. That's what happens when a franchise moves out of the hands of the original visionary.
