I think I was following upon the link of a fellow OTSer that had a review on Final Fantasy VIII put to negative overdrive.

The article was amusing, to say the least... so I decided to browse around the website and see if it was a place that put down every single computer game in existence.

Then I ran across the "Ask JeffK" section. Ugh, I can't even begin to describe it. Check out the link... www.somethingawful.com and look for a section on the sidebar that says "Ask JeffK".

I then posted on the General Forum, politely asking about the story about JeffK (you'll be able to see it under the forum titled "General Bullshit" but you're gonna have to dig because that place is BUSY), and got very negative feedback from everyone in general.

I'm wondering if anyone here has actually visited that website, and/or know the story behind the figure "JeffK", or the story behind the website in general.

disturbing ... I guess you just got a newbie bashing .. or a hazing, hehe ... the people there are sick ...

anyway, I think it's one of those sites that just use the "freeway accident" syndrome to get hits.

And the fact that their forums display the full IP address of whoever is posting is already pretty disturbing to me, given the forums' inhabitants ...

Some of Jeff K's stuff can be funny, but the type of humor that the somethingawful site thrives on doesn't exactly draw the kind of people you want to hang around in their forums.

The Cliff Yablonski hates you section is nothing but him flaming obsurd pics of people. Some of this stuff can be funny, but people who like this sort of humor the most are usually pretty raw people. http://www.opentechsupport.net/forums/smile.gif And Jeff K's stuff is only funny for so long until the annoying spelling gets on your nerves. The comics are cool sometimes though.

So that JeffK character is "fake" right?

But damn, that person writing those must be damn good at mispelling stuff.

JeffK is not a person.

JeffK is the spiritual embodiment of unchecked rampant stupidity.

SA's mp3's are pretty cool though.

JeffK is actually rather brilliant. If you take a deep look in to his stuff, he goes about it crudely, but he is seriously funny.
