IMG ubb not working?

I tried to insert a .gif into my post and instead of getting http://fr3nsyc.net/forums/http://ww...ies/roflmao.gif as the reference URL after submitting the post, I kept getting
http://fr3nsyc.net/http://www.opent...ies/roflmao.gif .
Alright, let's try it on this post and see if it does the same thing or if it was just an isolated case:

I can't get it to work with http://www. adresses either.
ftp still works though:

Anyway, I was trying to think of "that word" again to describe Outlaw's statement... and all of a sudden, it dawned on me... FACETIOUS!
I've been trying to think up that word for so many different occasions and have never found it. Until tonight.
Anyway, since Outlaw pretty much posted what I wrote on my 3rd post (the real URL that I was trying to link), does anyone have a definitive answer yet?

Fr3nsyc added an "anti-leech" command in their .htaccess file at their site's root folder, to prevent other sites from directly linking to their images. It's what I should also be doing for these forums, but I'm too lazy to get off my easy chair...
besides, why use frensyc's images when we have our own version of it...
