(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Anyone know of a good place I can buy old 80's and 90's arcade games that work? Pref. as cheap as possible. I'm especially looking for the origional Star Wars Arcade Game.

Thanks

Here's a hint: Anything Star Wars isn't going to be cheap.

Here in Toronto there is an auction place that regularly sells arcade machines, you might be able to find something like that in your area.

on a seriuos note.. depending on wher you are and what you want to pay arcade games are for sale all over the net.. I am a former.. and maybe soon to be again arcade tech.. I have worked on all sorts of machines from your classic pinballs to the skeeballs to the common Coke machine you see in almost every office and school.. Being that you are in NY.. I don't know what the market up there is like.. I have seen games go for as little as $300 here.. they where in really bad shape.. I know the New Sega Games go for 10-15K a new Stern Pinball (Monopoly, Playboy, Rollercoaster Tycoon and Austin Powers) go for $4,000 new in the box.
I would start my search at http://www.quarterarcade.com/ or http://www.arcadeclassics.com/ I do not endorse either of these are reputable places since I have never delt with them.. for parts I recommend either the manufacturer or Happ Controls.. http://www.happcontrols.com/
Another good source is a guy I worked with here in Phoneix who knows just about everything about games and pinballs his name is Dell he works at Mountain Coin in Phoenix you can reach him at (602) 269-7596 just ask for Dell in parts.. talk to him.. if he asks how you got to him.. just say Ken gave me the number.. he will know me..

Another source is your local yellow pages.. don't know how good that is.. but it's a place to start..
