The age old question, just wondering if anyone has come accross any sweet gold mines of free hosts?

Need one with no banners of any form (popup or embedded), fast, and SSI and CGI are a bonus.

LOL! Funny Scav...

DemonBob referred me to http://www.barrysworld.com, but they are based in the UK. I really think that doesn't matter, though. Maybe you could bum some space off of his new account at Liquid Web.

*creeps up to Bob...gimme your space or the hostages get it! I'm not kidding, can't you see i'm a l337 cr3M?!*

Really, don't go up to Bob and ask him though, he might get mad at me. hehe

link is dead but thx total. heh the spead and the bannerlessness is the important part the little side features like cgi arnt that big of a deal.

Right now I'm using net-games, 250 megs space, cgi, no banners or popups but the only slightly annoying thing is that sometimes the FTP is down, although this may be fixed soon.

They have to approve your site, which means you'll have to upload it somewhere (geocities serves well enough for this purpose). Hosting approval has been removed until the 15th of april though.

Hypermart's probally the most reliable free one, but they have popups.

yeah bish, but uh, isnt net-games only for like clans and game enthusiest sites and such?

Lets see.
http://www.hypermart.com <-- pop ups/but good http://www.barrysworld.com <-- Now works http://www.virtualave.net <-- pop ups/alright

Note: Pop ups can be gotten arround....

And as for getting space off of me.......dunno if I want to host sites yet. Maybe later

Not really, as long as it's game-related it'll probally get hosted.

look at botsrus, they're hosted on netgames.

What kind of site is it scav?

Small private buisness, gonna be like an online catalog, no fancy stuff just pictures and descriptions and a phone number and email address to get in contact with the people.
