Player Not Found

Guys well here is what happened. As of the past week diablo 2 LOD games on useast have been dumping. By dumping i mean everyone in the game gets dumped. Well the last time this happened to me i didnt want to wait for it to say connection interrupted so i just left the game. Well i was in for a big suprise cuz it kicked me off battle.net i logged back on did pass and everything and the player i was using now has player not found. I have had 2 diff friends try her and they can get on her but as soon as they do it kicks them off and gives them a realm down. I really dont want to lose this char she had 1.08 gaze a 8% wf and other godly items. So what do u guys think i should do?

Radarblip, read the post again. It's not a typical "player not found" issue.

I assume that here you mean "character" when you say "player". FYI, you are the player, the character is what you use in the game.
Well, my question would be: Where did this great gear come from?? The unusually high-end nature of what you describe and the behavior of your connection suggest that you have duped or hacked gear and it has been detected. Did you get this gear yourself or did you trade for it??

"Player not found" is the specific message the error shows. It doesn't say "Character not found." This is a common problem, and is pretty bad tonight if you wander into the OTS channel.

its actually the typical player not found, it usually happens after a sudden dump. however, the reason for the error is immaterial. create and delete a new character on that account. you may also wish to delete the realm save folder and bncache.dat.
thats about all you can do. if the char doesnt reappear within 3 days, youll have to email blizzard with the appropriate details so they can relink the character. be aware that this is not always possible.

Jerin is describing a "player not found" issue. . . .that is true. He is also describing a corresponding connection problem after attempting connection with the problem character. This says to me possible data corruption. It could be that our friend here has accidently traded for some junk data. I don't think this is your typical "player not found" scenario since Blizzard describes none of these consistant connection problems in the above link.

I don't really find disconnections out of the ordinary for battle.net, but I suppose there's a chance of corruption.
Anyway, what he is encountering is the typical player not found problem. What his friends are encountering is what is odd, since I've never heard of someone who has asked someone else on another computer to try the character out. Like red said, he'll probably have to ask Blizzard to relink his character, since his friends could not access it either (therefore the deleting the bncache.dat and USEast folder trick would probably not work).

I get kicked from games lately to on bnet. Last time it happened, me and a friend I was playing with both got kicked off and we had the "player not found" thing too.
I deleted the bncache.dat and the save folder but it didn't help.
Then I created and deleted a new char like wench said and they were both back

Well guys it seems the problem has fixed itself seeing as how i can get on that char now. I just left the account alone all night and when i got back on in the morning it seemed as if everthing was fixed . I guess it was a bug on the server side. Oh and btw to the guy who said ny items were high end and prolly duped. the 1.08 vamp might be but the wf isnt i traded for it unided from a friend who found it in cows like 5 mins b4 i traded him.
