i am trying to play with my friends.
but if he joins any public game first, then i cannot see that game, and vice versa.
we can join a password game. but we cannot join any public game.
one more weird thing is while my friend sees about 20 and keep getting refreshed list of games, i see only like 5 or 6 games on the game list, and they have been at least 10 mins since started. i see 1 now.

we played together in public game a few days ago but this started tonight. after we had some dueling and muling in pw game. we tried to go for blood hill runs but this started.

any ideas?

Don't get tagged.

so i guess i am tagged?
but how could i join a pw game?

where in bnet site do i find these infos?

Diablo II Hackers - 6/21/2002
There has been an ongoing problem with a few players using hacks while playing Diablo II closed Battle.net games. In order to provide quality gameplay for everyone, players found using hacks will now find that their ability to join open games has been restricted.

This new measure will prevent players with a history of using hacks from joining open, non-passworded games on Battle.net. The only games these players will now be able to join will be games with other players identified using hack programs. This modification will affect all accounts associated with the CD-Key that has been identified utilizing hack programs.

If you have any questions or observe hacking activity, please let us know by writing to us at hacks@blizzard.com.

Here's the link to it:

They sometimes tag the wrong people though, if you're really sure that you didn't use any cheats/hacks/trainers or whatever then email them at support@blizzard.com and tell them what happened and hopefully they'll untag you.

does that hack include a map hack, even though that was like an year ago, and now i never used it recently?

Only Blizzard knows the answer to that...

I'd try emailing them if I were you.

they said it's a widely occuring problem around bnet, that a player is limited to a few games. they said it's caused by server side problem and it will fix itself in a few days so wait.

damn, nice free service, right?
