Delta 44X CD-Rom Not Reading

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I've got a Delta44X CD-Rom installed in a Compaq deskpro
5120,I just installed new PCI Video card & installed drivers via CD-ROM everything worked per plan untill I tried using CD again,I'm getting Drive not ready, the Drive spins & tries to read but then shuts down.
I tried reinstalling the CD's drivers & cleaning but still nothing, also I tried another IDE cable.
Any Ideas besides sending it back to Computergeeks.com telling them to stick it

When did the CD-ROM stop working? Was it directly related to the video card installation?

If it's new and you can't think of anything that would alter its operation, then I would send it back.

That's what has me puzzeled the Video card shouldn't have any impact on the CD-ROM.
The Delta was a new replacement for a refurbished Sony 24X that was defective that I had to send back.
I've gotten a lot of parts from ComputerGeeks but as of late the quality has gone by the wayside.

Have you looked at your IRQs for possible conflicts.

Probably not anywhere near to your problem...but that is the seconds place I look, after checking all my cable connections and power connectors are hooked up properly and functional.
