Diablo II Battle.net help needed

Can anyone Help me?
I can only connect to closed battle.net with my
Diablo II: LOD
I have already tried re-installing, and this problem was also with my reg Diablo II as well. X.x
Anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem or even how it occured?

you havent said what the problem is. you can connect to battlenet. any other servers you wish to connect to would be through a mod of the game, which we probably cant help you with.

no, if you've ever played Diablo II, you would know that there is the regular Battle.net, and then there is open battle.net, which is full of hackers and nothing but.

So the problem is that you can't connect to Open Battle.net? What exactly happens when you try? I mean, when you start the game, you click "Other Multiplayer" then "Open Battle.net" -- and THEN what happens? Do you crash, or just fail to connect, or just hang or what?

Mayhap you did something to get banned from open battle.net but I can't see that happening if you couldn't connect to it in the first place. What does the game tell you when you try to open the open bnet?
