changing my ports?

Im on a college network and it sucks. It sucks. It sucks. Is there anything I can do to change which port I go through from my comp?
Im trying to play Darkspace and the network admins prioritize the ports. I was able to change the Aol instant messener and now im on all the time with no network BS keeping me off.

i guess the problem is firewall?
try to use socks cap to run.
or get hummingbird.
