As my friend always says:

What a dumbass...

Posted by: AK47

Thats far too funny

I dont know whats better, him, or the dude who died from farting.

Posted by: Null Actor

That guy is my hero.

Posted by: Tecil

No kidding.

I'm lucky when I can invest a couple hours at a time.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

What they didn't mention was what game he was playing

Anyone wanna bet it was Starcraft/Brood War?

Or maybe he was trying to get his barb to level 99 the hard way...

Posted by: Erekose

he was trying to get a satillite to orbit the moon

Posted by: bLaCkOuT

Either that or the spear-toss game...

Gotta make the top 10!!!

Posted by: Mr. Pink

Haha death.

Posted by: Freak

Lineage or its Asian variants.

Posted by: AngstMerchant

Minesweeper.

Posted by: SKYHN

I read on another thing that he was playing Half-Life. Not sure if it was just half-life or counter strike though.

If only people would leave me the hell alone i would have done this already.

I think 18 hours is my record.. hmmm I have to agree though.. if I could just get 86 good hours of gaming in without phone calls.. or that pesky eating thing..

Hmm... the sleep concept is intriguing, my friends keep telling me to go to sleep during my nightly romps on bnet, but I never do

Posted by: Xtren

That's a true idiot... I'd get a frigging head-ache after like five hours of gaming, and that's if I had that much time on my hands. I game like half an hour a week now.

I'd think this guy would be playing a multitude of games though... one game for 86 hours makes it more than a waste of time. He could easily get through five in that amount of time, though maybe he was trying to cover the full 100 hours of BG2.

Posted by: Freak

Xtren, I'd like to see you beat 5 games in 80 hours.

Posted by: Xtren

Well it looks like this guy is a good gamer, because he can't be playing for the first time in his life. I'd get bored way too quickly myself, but as long as boredom isn't an issue I think I could do it, as long as it wasn't some big-ass RPG.

are all men from the future loud mouthed braggarts?

Posted by: AK47

No, but they all do have a bizarre garlic fetish, so I think you may be in luck

Beating 5 games in 80 hours isnt that hard.

Depends on the games. Try beating 5 RPG's in that time...

Try playing one RPG for 80 hours, I think playing five different ones would be my choice.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

He meant it's impossible to beat 5 RPGs in 80 hours, unless you cheat...

Posted by: Xtren

What I said in my original post was that he could have beat 5 games in 86 hours. Did I say RPGs? No, in fact I said "unless he's playing some big-ass RPG".

I beat MGS 5 times in 48 hours, does that count?

Posted by: Xtren

I was thinking five different games, but I suppose that proves that beating 5 is possible.

Posted by: Canis Lupus

I beat Double Dribble 100+ times in 8 hours ... and I also finished Punch Out 5+ times in 4 hours ... so really, what kinda games are we talking about here?

Posted by: Xtren

Who the hell knows what types of games this guy liked?

Since the setting is in Korea though, I've got an inclination towards Blizzard games, he was probably playing Warcraft III, or SC, maybe some D2 as well.

Posted by: Null Actor

I'd put way more money on Lineage.

Posted by: Tecil

Yeah my money would be on Lineage first the SC.

Posted by: The_Turks(ff7)

it could be that pogo.com crap games. My friends sister is like always glued to the comp plying that crap. I dont think i see her NOT playing that. Its games are stupid if you ask me.

Posted by: Xtren

Stupid? I don't know, some people are addicted to solitaire...

Posted by: scorpion_gold

86 hours... wow...

i have one thing thing to say: get a life. or at least a hamburger.

Posted by: elhior_manwe

i would like to know what he died of...heart attack....thirst...hmmm.
i cant imagine what your head would be like after 86 hours, hallucinations auditory and visual, and thats just from sleep deprivation what would staring at a monitor do to you? kind of sick that they just let him keep playing not that there should be a law or anything, but a attendant could have said something. my bartender lets me know its time to go well before I am close to drinking myself to death.

Posted by: Nfested

He was using a colostomy bag! That's the only explanation!

Posted by: Xtren

Well how he lasted that long is still beyond me, I can't see how it's possible. That no one told him to stop... well maybe they don't do that in netcafes in Korea. They are open 24/7 afterall, so maybe some people do pull all-nighters there regularly. This guy just took it to the extreme and payed the obvious price.

Posted by: Muggs

i got up to like 50 hours on UO before my gf started yelling at me too much for me to ignore
