Exactly how much difference will I see with playing the newer games, between the gf 3 Ti 200 64mb vs. gf 4 Ti 4200 128 mb. Is it actually worth the added cost . Is the digital information that is used when they make the newer games more safisticated , than say max payne or return to castle wolfenstein? Thanks.

The GeForce 3s are now fading into the background and becoming consumer priced cards, althought still performing much better than any cards in the MX series. The GeForce4 128MB is worth that extra bit but months later, you'll be glad you paid for it. As for the question about the games, I would think they are more complex but not sure what you mean by digital information.

BTW - it's spelt "sophisticated"

It all depends on your system specs and what type of games you play.

Yes. I have a Geforce 3..the original 64 DDR deluxe card that fits between a Ti200 and a Ti500 for power.

UT2003 is showing that cards age. For the longest time, there were no games that caused it to work hard. Fact is, there wasn't even software that used the programmable shader features of that card.

Now though, I can't play UT2003 to its fullest graphics settings. It stutters when there is a lot of action. The game is playable with the resolutions and graphics turned down a little...but still....

So, I would go for the more expensive card. If you do FPS games, you won't be happy with the 3 in the near future. If you do RTS games...then any card will do..

Also how well your grqpics card will perform is tied into the speed of your computer a GF4 Ti4400 will perform nicely on a fast CPU 1.8GH and faster, but slows down when your CPU is under that speed. I only get 8969 on 3dmark2001SE with my GF4 Ti4400 because my Computer uses 133mhz Sdram and my CPU is only a 933Mhz Cpu.

Put that same Video card in a faster CPU wioth faster memory and it can perform over 10,000
